Social Media

Social media coverage is one of our primary methods of getting people to read our articles. It is an excellent way to keep people updated, both on journalism-related items and on events happening in the community. While I have not managed our media accounts, I have posted on each one and have provided insight on the best ways we can tell stories using these formats.

Anchor 1

Twitter:

We use Twitter mainly for live updates, generally when covering school or community events. To the right is an example of when I have used Twitter to provide updates at an MIHS Basketball game.

We also post on Twitter to encourage people to read our most recent articles.

Instagram:

Instagram is where we post about our articles after they have been published, and is generally a great way to get the word out fast.

We put links to our newest articles or relevant polls and google forms here.

We post photos, previews and links for our articles after they are posted on our website.

We also post details on our print newspaper distributions.

Facebook:

Facebook is another place where we promote our recent articles and inform people on relevant events. We also post a variety of visual forms of articles on Facebook, such as this shoutout of robotics teacher Amanda Comeaux:
